Weekly Sprint contest rules

PENDING LEGAL REVIEW

This reflects our real, current intent, but hasn't had a professional legal review yet. Questions in the meantime: reach out and we'll answer directly.

1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY

No purchase is necessary to enter or win. A purchase does not improve your chances of winning. You may enter the Weekly Sprint for free by submitting a project as a Walker, and a Walker entry is eligible for the prize on the same terms as a paid Runner entry.

Paid Runner tickets and visibility boosts purchase placement and features. They do not purchase fuel, votes, standing, or any advantage in how the winner is determined.

2. ELIGIBILITY

Open to individuals aged 18 or older who have a registered runs.space account. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Employees of the Sponsor and their immediate families are not eligible.

Excluded jurisdictions: none at this time, beyond the general “void where prohibited by law” above. It is your responsibility to know whether participation is lawful where you live.

3. HOW TO ENTER

Submit a project you own or materially contribute to. Each submitted project becomes a rocket. One URL is one rocket, permanently. Entry for a given Weekly Sprint must be made before that sprint ends.

A reserved pad — a listing we created from public information and held for a named person — is not an entry. It accrues no fuel and is eligible for nothing until its owner claims it and we approve the claim.

4. HOW THE WINNER IS DETERMINED

Each Weekly Sprint runs Monday 00:00 UTC to Sunday 23:59 UTC. The winner is the rocket that received the most fuel from other registered users during that period. Fuel is a vote cast by a human account.

This is a merit-based contest decided by community voting, not a game of chance. No random selection is involved.

Voting limits, enforced for everyone:

  • One fuel per person, per rocket, per week
  • You cannot fuel your own rocket
  • Daily limits apply (Walker 3/day, Runner 10/day, reset 00:00 UTC)
  • Runner accounts receive one Super Fuel (worth 5) per week

5. PRIZE

The prize is 50% of the total Runner entry fees collected for that Weekly Sprint, plus any amount the Sponsor has separately added to the pool. The pool for the current sprint is shown on the race page. Where no Runner entries were collected, there may be no cash prize for that sprint.

Prizes are paid by PayPal or Wise, winner's choice, within 7 days of the sprint ending, after the integrity review in section 6. The winner is responsible for any taxes owed on the prize and may be required to provide information necessary for payment or tax reporting. Prizes are not transferable and no substitution or cash equivalent is offered beyond what is stated here.

6. FAIR PLAY AND DISQUALIFICATION

Every sprint is reviewed for vote manipulation before any prize is paid. We may disqualify an entry, void fuel, or withhold a prize where we find, at our reasonable discretion:

  • Multiple accounts operated by or coordinated for the same person
  • Automated, purchased, incentivised, or otherwise inauthentic voting
  • Coordinated reciprocal voting rings
  • Impersonation, or submitting a project you have no right to submit
  • Any attempt to interfere with the operation of the contest

To support this, we record a one-way hashed form of the IP address associated with each vote. We do not store raw IP addresses for voting. See the Privacy Policy.

7. GENERAL

The Sponsor may modify, suspend, or cancel a sprint if it cannot be run as planned, including because of technical failure or manipulation. Decisions of the Sponsor regarding these rules are final. Continuing to participate after a change to these rules constitutes acceptance of the change.

This contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with X (Twitter), Google, Stripe, Vercel, or Supabase.

Governing law: Italy.
